Job Title: Senior Water Resources Engineer - Transportation

Pennoni, a leading consulting engineering firm, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Transportation Team. With a strong history of serving Transportation clients in the Mid-Atlantic Region, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions for diverse and iconic projects.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater, drainage, and erosion and sediment control design for bridge replacement and highway improvement projects.
  • Interact with clients regarding technical challenges and perform project management tasks as desired.
  • Develop plans, technical reports, and specifications for various transportation projects.
  • Work on diversified projects and assignments with different clients.
  • Collaborate with our team in one of Pennoni's most successful transportation design hubs in the Newark, DE office.
Required Attributes:
  • EIT certification
  • BSCE degree
  • 2-12 years of work experience
  • Experience in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, floodplain management, stream restoration design, culvert and bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, erosion and sediment control design, drainage design, stormwater management design, plan review, and plan and report preparation.
  • Proficiency in Microstation v8i, ArcGIS, HY-8, HEC-RAS, Storm and SewerCAD, WinTR-55, WinTR-20, HydroCAD, SMS/SRH2D.
  • Excellent technical writing skills for reports, specifications, studies, and engineering documents.
  • Understanding of state DOT design criteria with prior project experience with DelDOT, MDSHA, VDOT, DCDOT, and/or PennDOT projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and written skills.
Computer Skills Required:
