Pennoni is a multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm with a strong history of serving Transportation clients in the Mid-Atlantic Region. We are seeking a motivated team member to join our Transportation Team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support transportation projects by performing a wide range of water resources related tasks, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater, drainage and erosion and sediment control design, flood studies, bridge hydraulics and scour analysis, and plan and report preparation.
  • Interact with clients regarding technical challenges and have opportunities to perform project management if desired.
  • Develop plans, technical reports, and specifications.
  • Work on diversified projects and assignments with different clients.
  • Have the opportunity to work in one of Pennoni's most successful transportation design hubs in the Newark, DE office.
Required Attributes
  • EIT
  • Required Education: BSCE
  • Years of work experience: 2-12 years
  • Experience including: hydrologic/hydraulic (H&H) modeling of natural systems and stormwater collection systems, floodplain management and modeling, stream restoration design, culvert and bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, erosion and sediment control design, drainage design, stormwater management design, plan review, and plan and report preparation.
  • Essential Software Tools: Microstation v8i, ArcGIS, HY-8, HEC-RAS, Storm and SewerCAD, WinTR-55, WinTR-20, HydroCAD, SMS/SRH2D
  • Produces high-quality technical writing for use in reports, specifications, studies, and other engineering documents
  • Plan production via MicroStation with design experience strongly preferred
  • Understanding of state DOT design criteria with prior project experience with DelDOT, MDSHA, VDOT, DCDOT, and/or PennDOT projects
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and written skills

  • Interacting in the engineering community via leadership positions in professional societies is preferred and encouraged
