The NEEDS Center is seeking highly motivated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Care/Support Professionals. As a Direct Care/Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible while enjoying all aspects of community living.
Responsibilities:
- Assist and support individuals in daily routines, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
- Support residents in developing daily living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
- Implement clinical, educational, and vocational programs to promote skill development and community integration.
- Observe and record data for programs established in individual and behavior support plans.
- Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes regular community membership.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with behavior management preferred.
- Good driving record.
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
