POSITION SUMMARY

The National Center for Families Learning, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing family literacy, is looking for a Training Coordinator to collaborate with a diverse team to ensure the effective implementation of NCFL's programs and methodologies in selected communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and deliver both online and in-person training sessions, coaching, and technical support in targeted communities, with a focus on five specific areas in Colorado.
  • Engage in ongoing collaboration and feedback sessions with fellow Content and Training Specialists to foster continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about evidence-based professional development strategies to inform NCFL's initiatives.
  • Identify and seize opportunities to promote advancements in family literacy and engagement.
  • Participate in relevant organizational and industry meetings, particularly those related to the Colorado Statewide Family Engagement Center.
  • Set personal objectives that align with NCFL's mission and vision.
  • Contribute actively as a member of assigned project teams.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

  • Engage in regular, reflective, and collaborative supervision, proactively seeking feedback.
  • Identify strengths and areas for growth, seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Incorporate constructive feedback from supervisors to enhance job performance.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of work and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain current knowledge in relevant professional fields and commit to ongoing skill development.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors about progress, achievements, and challenges that may affect service delivery.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the organization's principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of two years of experience in teaching, training, or coaching within educational settings, particularly in diverse communities.
  • Residence in Colorado is required.
  • Experience collaborating with adults, children, community partners, and evaluators.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and work collaboratively.
  • Proficient organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Extensive knowledge in program development and execution.
  • Expertise in family literacy and engagement practices.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, ensuring inclusivity and respect.
  • Proficient in using technology for educational purposes, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • A commitment to self-reflection and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including occasional evenings and weekends.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Capability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Effective communication skills for information exchange.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000.
