POSITION SUMMARY
The National Center for Families Learning, a private nonprofit organization, is in search of a Training Specialist to collaborate with a diverse team to ensure the effective delivery of NCFL's content and methodologies in designated communities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement, and provide both online and in-person high-quality training, coaching, and technical assistance in selected communities, with a particular focus on five key areas.
- Engage in ongoing collaboration and feedback sessions with a team of Content and Training Specialists to foster continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about evidence-based professional learning strategies to enhance NCFL's initiatives.
- Identify and utilize opportunities to promote advancements in family literacy and engagement.
- Participate in relevant organizational and industry meetings as necessary.
- Set personal objectives that align with NCFL's mission and vision.
- Contribute actively as a member of assigned work teams.
- Perform additional duties as required.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
- Engage in regular, reflective, and collaborative supervision, seeking guidance when necessary.
- Identify strengths and areas for growth, actively seeking support when needed.
- Incorporate constructive feedback from supervisors to enhance job performance.
- Take responsibility for the quality of work and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain awareness of current professional developments in relevant fields and pursue ongoing skill enhancement.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching, training, or coaching within educational settings that serve diverse communities.
- Must reside in Colorado.
- Experience collaborating with adults, children, community partners, and evaluators.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate and convey ideas clearly.
- Proficient organizational skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Demonstrated experience in program development and execution.
- Extensive knowledge of family literacy and engagement practices.
- Ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences, ensuring respect and value for all participants.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, both independently and as part of a team.
- A firm belief in the potential of all families to advocate for their children's best interests.
- Proficient in utilizing technology in educational contexts, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Zoom.
- Self-aware with a commitment to continuous personal and professional growth.
- Skilled in collaborative planning and execution.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including occasional evenings and weekends.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Capability to lift up to 20 pounds as needed.
- Effective communication skills for information exchange.
- Willingness to travel as required.
COMPENSATION
Salary range is $50,000-$60,000.
