Role Summary:

At LayerZero, the Project Manager plays a crucial role in guiding projects towards successful outcomes in a dynamic business landscape. As key leaders and facilitators, they are essential in converting intricate strategies into practical actions and supporting their teams through execution challenges. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planning, execution, and closure of projects, managing the requirements of significant customer accounts, and juggling multiple projects across various accounts while ensuring all deliverables meet customer expectations.

This position requires strong leadership capabilities, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to oversee complex projects across different departments and multiple contacts within accounts. Effective communication is vital, as you will need to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged, address issues promptly, and maintain team motivation. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining project documentation and addressing any challenges that arise. By managing these responsibilities, you will aim to enhance project outcomes and maximize the value delivered to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) cadence calls, relaying customer feedback and timelines to create actionable items.
  • Update vendor management tools for assigned accounts (e.g., Smartsheet, Google Docs, CxAlloy).
  • Monitor order fulfillment from entry to shipment.
  • Comprehend customer designs, specifications, product requirements, and service needs.
  • Collaborate with sales and production teams to schedule new jobs in the master timeline.
  • Oversee document flow between the company and customers.
  • Maintain records in the company’s customer database.
  • Coordinate with various internal functions, including operations, purchasing, and quality management, to ensure customer requirements are met, including delivery/service and quality concerns.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly capital expenditure forecasts to customers.
  • Participate in regular production and engineering meetings to grasp the overall order fulfillment landscape and identify open issues needing resolution.
  • Support customer visits as necessary.
  • Travel requirements are approximately 10%.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years in project or program management.
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing setting is advantageous.
  • Self-driven, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated communication skills with supervisors, team members, and especially customers, capable of handling various situations daily.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring individuals with varying levels of experience and capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of tracking the progress and resolution of open issues.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication abilities.
  • A quick learner with a passion for processes and multitasking.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in an engineering discipline.
  • Must possess US Citizenship or C1 Permanent Resident Alien status.
