Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The National Center for Families Learning, a dedicated nonprofit organization, is in search of a Training Specialist to collaborate with a diverse team to ensure the effective delivery of NCFL's educational content and strategies in various communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, and facilitate both online and in-person training sessions, coaching, and technical support services in selected communities, with a focus on five specific areas.
  • Engage in ongoing collaboration and feedback sessions with a team of Content and Training Specialists to foster continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about evidence-based professional development strategies to enhance NCFL's initiatives.
  • Identify and utilize opportunities to promote advancements in family literacy and engagement.
  • Participate in relevant organizational and industry meetings, particularly those related to the Colorado Statewide Family Engagement Center.
  • Set personal objectives that align with NCFL's mission and vision.
  • Contribute actively as a member of assigned work teams.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching, training, or coaching within educational settings, particularly in diverse communities.
  • Must reside in Colorado.
  • Experience collaborating with adults, children, community partners, and evaluators.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Proficient organizational skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Demonstrated experience in program development and execution.
  • Extensive knowledge of family literacy and engagement practices.
  • Ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences, ensuring respect and value for all participants.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
  • A firm belief in the potential of all families to support their children's success.
  • Proficient in utilizing technology for educational purposes, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Exhibit self-awareness, reflective practices, and a commitment to ongoing improvement.
  • Skilled in collaborative planning and execution of initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including occasional evenings and weekends.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Capability to lift up to 20 pounds as needed.
  • Effective communication skills for information exchange.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

COMPENSATION

Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000.
