POSITION SUMMARY:

The Retail Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in fostering a customer-centric and product-oriented sales environment, ensuring that our core values and guiding principles are integral to all store operations. This includes delivering an exceptional customer experience while maximizing profitability.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Performance:

Achieve company sales targets by employing effective sales strategies and sharing product knowledge with customers. Assist customers in selecting merchandise that aligns with their preferences and needs.

Stay informed about ongoing promotions and maintain visual and pricing standards.

Uphold merchandise handling and presentation standards, while adhering to loss prevention protocols as directed by management.

Contribute to visual merchandising efforts, including monthly store setups and maintenance.


Customer Experience:

Exemplify and advocate for the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience for customers.

Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.

Facilitate a swift and efficient checkout process, remaining knowledgeable about payment policies, coupon usage, returns, exchanges, and security practices.

Encourage additional purchases at checkout, including gift card sales, and enroll clients in the rewards program.

Establish and nurture a loyal customer base through personalized service and communication.


Operational Excellence:

Assist in replenishment activities to maintain a well-stocked and inviting store environment.

Support visual merchandising initiatives, including floor sets and signage placement, as directed.

Help maintain store cleanliness and organization.


Team Collaboration and Development:

Foster an inclusive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Seek opportunities for personal growth and actively request feedback.

Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred experience in retail or sales
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Able to adapt to company-provided technology
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
  • Effective communication with customers, associates, and management
  • Consistent attendance is essential to meet company objectives, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regular walking and standing throughout the shift.

Occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs.

Frequent climbing as part of daily tasks.
