Veterinary Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our Emergency Department team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Triage and assess incoming patients, working closely with our veterinary team to determine the best course of treatment.
- Assist veterinarians with patient procedures, including administering medications and performing laboratory tests.
- Provide top-notch nursing care to hospitalized patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering treatments.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing education and support to ensure the best possible outcomes for their pets.
- Collaborate with our patient care team to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 1+ years of clinical experience as an RVT or 3 years of experience as a Senior Veterinary Assistant.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on providing exceptional client service.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) required; must obtain within 60 days of hire or transfer into this role.
