Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and prioritize incoming patients
- Monitor critically ill and anxious patients
- Administer medications and treatments
- Assist in diagnostic procedures
- Support emergency interventions
- Ensure the comfort of patients
- Communicate effectively with pet owners
- Maintain medical equipment and supplies
- Document patient care accurately
- Participate in continuous education and training
SVA: $36.00 with $6,000 Sign-On Bonus for new full-time hires
Work Schedule:
- Flexible shifts available - days, evenings, overnights. $5 differential for overnight shifts
- Full-Time
- 4/10 work schedule
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 3+ years of clinical experience in veterinary practice
- Proven ability to perform mathematical calculations for medications, client invoices, and other related tasks
- Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60 days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if the incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
- CA RVT license preferred but not mandatory

Our compensation ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
