Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team at Oregon Foot Clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the patient flow at the front desk, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for our patients.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with physicians and staff to provide exceptional patient care. Your strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and direct patients within the practice, representing the organization and the practice in a positive and professional manner.
  • Obtain patient demographic and verify insurance information at each visit, scanning pertinent patient information into EMR.
  • Answer telephones, take messages, and troubleshoot patient calls.
  • Collect copays from patients and post payments.
  • Tally up copays for the day, print out the schedule, and match up copays with patient information.
  • Responsible for making, rescheduling, and confirming appointments.
  • Obtain prior authorizations.
  • Room patients on occasion if MA is not available.
  • Coordinate with Practice Manager to resolve issues related to facilities management, computers, and other office equipment.
  • Receive, sort, and fax incoming reports and distribute to appropriate staff.
  • Assist in the ordering, receiving, and stocking of office supplies.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a High School diploma; Associates Degree preferred.
  • One to three years relevant experience preferred.
  • Medical and EMR experience preferred.
