Salary: $24-$30/hour + bonus + benefits (Washington State) or equivalent based on location and experience.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide administrative support to patients, fellow employees, and referral sources through the coordination and administration of front office activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling appointments and managing patient records
  • Validating insurance and payment authorization, processing payments, and conducting billing research
  • Providing financial counseling for patients and posting over-the-counter payments
  • Managing incoming phone calls and responding to inquiries
  • Scanning and filing patient documents, ensuring complete and accurate information

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
  • Less than 1 year of customer service, administration, or related experience; at least 1-2 years of experience with EMR/electronic health/medical record systems a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to type 40 correct words per minute
