Position Summary

The Corporate Group and Business Travel Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving growth within the corporate, negotiated, consortia, and government travel sectors. This position is focused on enhancing guest satisfaction while meeting revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building Corporate Transient Market Segments by nurturing relationships within the LNR, Consortia, and Government sectors to meet room night and revenue objectives.
  • Meeting established sales and revenue targets, alongside achieving solicitation call benchmarks.
  • Proactively engaging in solicitation calls, conducting sales tours, and entertaining clients related to Corporate Group and Business Travel.
  • Fostering and expanding relationships with both new and existing accounts specific to Corporate Group and Business Travel.
  • Analyzing and assessing trends within the market segment.
  • Maintaining a strong presence in the local community and industry associations.
  • Participating in and implementing special promotions aimed at direct sales segments, including sales blitzes.
  • Conducting market research to remain informed about industry trends and local competition.
  • Managing annual RFP negotiations, contract renewals, and any RFPs or contracts throughout the year.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in Corporate/Corporate Group and Business Travel Sales.
  • Familiarity with the local market dynamics.
  • Knowledge of industry tools such as Agency360, STR, Knowland, and other relevant reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Office, and general internet usage.
  • Experience with Delphi and Amadeus is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously while demonstrating initiative, perseverance, and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and customer service capabilities.
  • Quick adaptability and a strong work ethic.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit.
  • Willingness to meet clients, including on weekends.
  • Fluency in English with strong grammar and communication skills.
  • Background in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience and training.
  • Flexibility to work day shifts with the possibility of evening hours as required.
  • Capability to work on-site at the Hilton New Orleans Airport location.

Qualifications:

A minimum of two years of college coursework focusing on business or communication is required. A Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management is preferred.

A minimum of three years of sales experience is necessary, with hotel experience being highly desirable.
