Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Catering Sales Executive is accountable for acquiring new catering clients, particularly within the South Asian demographic, while nurturing and sustaining relationships with current clients to achieve or surpass food and beverage revenue targets. This role includes overseeing client events to guarantee satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Identify and pursue opportunities for Weddings, Wedding Blocks, and other Social Sales initiatives.

· Anticipate wedding sales and establish marketing strategies tailored for the wedding sector.

· Engage in local wedding exhibitions to attract potential clients.

· Address inquiries and leads for all social gatherings within a 24-48 hour timeframe.

· Prepare proposals and negotiate agreements, ensuring all contracts receive approval from the Director of Sales or General Manager. Once contracts are finalized, collaborate with clients to detail every aspect of their wedding/event, including tastings, rehearsals, ceremonies, receptions, and dinners.

· Create Banquet Event Orders and Resumes for each wedding/event.

· Generate various reports, such as weekly forecasts, activity reports, and monthly production summaries for weddings/events.

· Conduct site visits with prospective brides and other clients.

· Participate in and host events and trade shows.

· Manage special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales and General Manager.

· Communicate event details to operational departments, including food & beverage, front desk, and banqueting.

· Cultivate and maintain relationships with key community contacts and vendors to enhance visibility.

· Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Director of Sales to manage catering menu offerings and pricing.

· Ensure thorough detailing of all events.

· Work closely with clients to identify specific needs and design tailored programs.

· Review and finalize billing processes.

· Serve as a leader and role model for all team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate must demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

· Proficiency in the primary language(s) utilized in the workplace.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· In-depth understanding of South Asian culture.

· Ability to work independently or lead a team effectively.

· Basic computer literacy.

· Familiarity with the hospitality industry and competitive landscape.

· Commitment to consistently achieving guest satisfaction.

  • Ability to make informed decisions with general policies and procedures as guidance.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This organization operates continuously throughout the week. Flexibility in work schedules, including holidays, may be required based on business needs.
