Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and motivated Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in Des Plaines, IL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily production of high-quality foods, supervising a team of chefs, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the daily production of fresh high-quality foods, including menu planning, inventory management, and food safety protocols.
  • Lead a team of chefs, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory levels, and labor costs to ensure that they are within budget.
  • Develop and implement new menu items, recipes, and cooking techniques to enhance the culinary experience for our clients.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to develop and implement new business strategies and initiatives.
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene regulations are met, and that our facilities and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new hires and existing staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a senior chef or executive chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Proven track record of success in menu planning, inventory management, and food safety protocols.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of chefs.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, and the ability to ensure that they are met in all aspects of the kitchen.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
