Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled and motivated Permanent Glazing Estimator to become part of our forward-thinking team in the manufacturing sector. This role is ideal for someone with a robust background in commercial glazing and project management, particularly with expertise in bullet-resistant, blast, and storm impact glazing.

Key Responsibilities:


As a Permanent Glazing Estimator, your main responsibility will be to create precise estimates for our glazing projects, ensuring our bids are both competitive and accurate.

Your tasks will include analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.


Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Assessing data to determine material and labor needs and preparing detailed itemized lists.
  • Calculating cost factors and preparing estimates for management purposes, including planning and scheduling work.
  • Generating cost and expenditure reports and other necessary documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engaging with clients, vendors, and internal teams to discuss and finalize estimates and address any issues.
  • Conducting specialized studies to develop standard hour and cost data or to implement cost-saving measures.

Qualifications:
To qualify for the Permanent Glazing Estimator position, candidates should possess the following:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Glazing Estimator or in a comparable role.
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial glazing and project management.
  • Proficiency in bullet-resistant, blast, and storm impact glazing.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and associated costs.
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and estimation software.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
