Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Project Manager. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in managing multiple projects within the manufacturing sector, coordinating with diverse teams, and ensuring timely project completion. A minimum of 3 years of project management experience is required. The preferred candidate will possess a solid understanding of project planning, budgeting, bidding, and managing change orders. Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Sage 300, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Manufacturing Project Manager, you will oversee projects from inception to completion. Your primary duties will include:
  • Leading project planning sessions and coordinating staff and resources in a manufacturing context.
  • Monitoring project progress and making necessary adjustments.
  • Managing project budgets, handling change orders, and ensuring adherence to project scope.
  • Guaranteeing that projects are completed on schedule.
  • Cultivating relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Overseeing all project documentation.
  • Developing risk management strategies.
  • Conducting project evaluations and preparing detailed reports for senior management.
  • Enhancing processes and overall project approaches as needed.
  • Identifying growth opportunities and initiating new projects.

Qualifications:

To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:
  • 2 to 3 years of project management experience, either as a project manager or assistant project manager.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Experience leading commercial construction projects involving glazing, windows, doors, framing, and related materials.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of doors, windows, and framing manufacturing, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, with Sage 300 as a preference.
  • Experience managing change orders.
  • Familiarity with storefront and curtain wall systems.
  • Ability to interpret architectural blueprints.
  • Understanding of project budgets, change orders, bidding, and construction management.
  • Experience with pre-construction and commercial projects.
  • Capability to obtain a Government Security Clearance.
  • Strong decision-making and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
