Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Project Manager. This role is pivotal within the manufacturing sector. If you excel at overseeing multiple projects, collaborating with diverse teams, and ensuring timely project completion, we want to connect with you. A minimum of 3 years of project management experience is required. The ideal candidate will possess a solid grasp of project planning, budgeting, bidding, and managing change orders. Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Sage 300, is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Manufacturing Project Manager, you will be tasked with steering projects from inception to completion. Your primary duties will encompass:
- Facilitating project planning sessions and coordinating internal resources within a manufacturing context.
- Monitoring project progress and adjusting workflows as necessary.
- Managing project budgets, overseeing change orders, and ensuring adherence to project scope.
- Guaranteeing that projects are completed within deadlines.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Overseeing all project documentation.
- Developing risk management strategies.
- Conducting project evaluations and preparing comprehensive reports for senior management.
- Enhancing processes and methodologies where applicable.
- Identifying growth opportunities and initiating new projects.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in project management, either as a project manager or assistant project manager.
- A Bachelor's Degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Experience leading commercial construction projects related to glazing, windows, doors, framing, and similar materials.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes related to doors, windows, and framing, with the capability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience with ERP systems, with Sage 300 being preferred.
- Familiarity with change order management.
- Experience with storefront and curtain wall systems is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret architectural blueprints is essential.
- Understanding of project budgets, change orders, bidding, and construction management.
- Experience with pre-construction and commercial projects.
- Capability to obtain a Government Security Clearance.
- Strong decision-making and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
