Academic Manager Job Description

Adams and Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Academic Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of the Career Education Center and ensuring the success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Career Education Center and ensure it meets or exceeds performance goals.
  • Provide oversight of student academic services and individual academic plans to ensure student progress and achievement.
  • Infuse applied academics into trade curricula to enhance student learning and success.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
  • Interview, recommend for hire, discipline, and evaluate the performance of employees in the Academics Department.
  • Provide students with educational training leading to GED/HSD completion and improved literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ensure high-quality academic programming and instruction.
  • Effectively motivate, empower, and require staff to perform their job responsibilities.
  • Develop and implement programs and services to meet student needs.
  • Coordinate and oversee the academics advisory council.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school required.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Valid in-state teaching certificate or waiver required.
  • Previous teaching or Job Corps experience preferred.
