Responsibilities

Job Purpose
The Event Services Supervisor oversees and coordinates banquet functions.

This role involves managing staff schedules, ensuring seamless banquet operations, and prioritizing the comfort and safety of attendees.

A successful Event Services Supervisor demonstrates strong leadership abilities, effectively manages multiple streams of information, and maintains composure in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and comprehend Banquet Event Orders (BEO's) or Event Plans at the start of each shift to guarantee proper setup of banquet rooms.
  • Assist managers and event organizers in planning the layout and logistics of functions.
  • Schedule and oversee staff shifts and timetables.
  • Train team members on serving etiquette.
  • Ensure timely service of banquet courses.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies, equipment, and furniture.
  • Address guests' requests, inquiries, and concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the venue and facilities.
  • Communicate and enforce safety regulations.
Qualifications

Experience
Minimum of 2 years in the service industry, ideally in catering or banquet settings.
Skills
Effective communication with members, guests, colleagues, and management is essential.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues or complaints.
Must meet legal age requirements to sell and serve alcoholic beverages, with applicable state certification if required.
Education
High School diploma is required.

Working Conditions
Workdays and hours will vary based on scheduling and business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
