Job Purpose

The Cart/Range/Bag Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the quality of our daily golf operation. This position requires a high level of guest service while ensuring the upkeep of our golf cart and range facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by acknowledging and greeting members and guests, and offering assistance with cart handling and club loading as needed.
  • Maintain the golf cart fleet by performing daily washing or detailing, stocking cart amenities, removing trash, and inspecting carts for mechanical issues.
  • Ensure the range is in proper condition by performing duties such as ball collection, cleaning, and delivery, rotation of mats, and maintenance of lighting equipment.
  • Provide support to members and guests by fielding concerns and directing them to a supervisor as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance on carts and range equipment, including changing flat tires, spark plugs, and other tasks as required.
  • Ensure continuity of customer service by training other cart attendants as requested.
  • Implement and support all American Golf initiatives and programs as requested by management.
Qualifications
  • The ability to operate various equipment, including golf carts, ball pickers, and pressure washers.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Education in golf or a related field is preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs.
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required.
  • The employee may be required to stand for long periods, walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push or pull. The employee may be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
