Duties and Responsibilities
  • Clean designated areas of training spaces, common areas, restrooms, dormitory rooms, administrative offices, and other areas within the Department of Criminal Justice Training campus and Thompson Hall Dormitory as assigned.
  • Perform general cleaning, floor care, washing, sanitizing, polishing furniture and fixtures, trash removal, stocking supplies, and cleaning windows.
  • Ensure housekeeping supplies are replenished in work areas.
  • Ensure that equipment, tools, and supplies are cleaned and properly stored at the end of each day.
  • Operate washing machines.
  • Operate a variety of associated machines/equipment while completing housekeeping and janitorial duties.
  • Maintain cleanliness of machine and storage areas. Other duties as required.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is $27,969.84 annually, offering a competitive compensation package, including accrued vacation time and sick time, 11 1/2 paid holidays, and accrued overtime compensation. We also offer health, vision, and dental insurance coverage (1st day of employment) with several self/family cover options, state-paid life insurance, KY Retirement plan, and optional Deferred Compensation program (401K).

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong commitment to cleanliness and customer service. A valid driver's license is preferred. You should be able to lift heavy objects or work in uncomfortable environments for extended periods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
