Job Description

The Nursing Practice Specialist works collaboratively with the nursing care team to provide holistic care to patients. This involves applying evidence-based practices, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure optimal patient outcomes. As a leader in the nursing care team, you will be responsible for delegating tasks effectively to patient care techs, licensed practical nurses, unit secretaries, and students.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge base in nursing theories and science, critical thinking skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. They will also have a deep understanding of mental health and substance use diagnoses, as well as knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $95,000 to $120,000 annually, based on experience and location. Our benefits package includes comprehensive health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development. To qualify for this role, you will need:

  • A current RN licensure or temporary Kentucky work permit
  • An Associate Degree in Nursing with a Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Completion and maintenance of BLS
  • SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF ALL COMPETENCIES AS IDENTIFIED ON THE DEPARTMENTAL NURSE COMPETENCY GRID
