About the Role

The Urology Patient Access Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring a seamless patient experience by efficiently managing patient check-in and check-out processes. This role will support the Urology of Indiana team by providing exceptional customer service and clerical support to all areas of the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exceed daily expectations and goals, with minimal error, while maintaining open communication with the manager regarding the status of assignments and deadlines.
  • Display leadership initiative by offering to help others or taking on additional responsibilities when able.
  • Verify insurance for upcoming procedures and ensure accurate and timely processing of third-party referral information.
  • Coordinate referral procedures with clinical units and billing.
  • Travel to satellite locations as needed to support the team.
Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • One year of experience working in a medical practice or health insurance organization.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
