About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Seafood Department Lead to join our team at Fred Meyer. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the Meat and Seafood department to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience: Create a welcoming and engaging environment for customers, ensuring they receive exceptional service and have a positive shopping experience.
  • Department Operations: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Meat and Seafood department, including inventory management, pricing, and visual merchandising.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing team of associates to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of products, to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Visual Merchandising: Maintain a visually appealing store environment, including the Meat and Seafood department, to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate opportunities for loss, including shrinkage and theft, to protect company assets and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Effective Communication: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, associates, and management.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in a retail or food service environment, with a focus on customer service and team development.
  • Inventory Management: Strong inventory management skills, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of products.
  • Visual Merchandising: Ability to maintain a visually appealing store environment, including the Meat and Seafood department.
  • Loss Prevention: Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques to identify and mitigate opportunities for loss.
