About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care activities and unit tasks under the supervision of licensed professional staff.
  • Implement nursing orders promptly and accurately, demonstrating a clear understanding of each order's purpose in relation to the patient's plan of care.
  • Perform unit-related activities and clerical duties to support the nursing staff, including maintaining necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with healthcare team members, patients, and significant others.
  • Participate in coaching new staff members in service excellence standards and maintain a safe and orderly environment.
  • Adhere to WCHN standards of service excellence and maintain 6 hours of continuing education annually.
  • Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of one year of job-related experience.
  • A current PEP rating at meets expectations or better.
  • The ability to maintain skills and competencies necessary for the position.
  • Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant certification and Basic Life Support competency.
