Job Overview
Position Title: Medical Practice Patient Representative (Clerical Assistant)

Location: Nuvance Health

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM.

Role Summary: This position entails providing comprehensive clerical and administrative support while facilitating patient care activities within a busy medical practice environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring necessary authorizations for tests, referrals, and procedures are obtained.
  2. Handle financial transactions and prepare daily financial reports for office deposits.
  3. Assist in cross-training and provide support for front desk operations.
  4. Organize and maintain physician schedules, including meetings and patient rounds.
  5. Oversee inventory and order office supplies to maintain operational efficiency while adhering to budget constraints.
  6. Engage in workflow reengineering and process enhancements to align with healthcare programs.
  7. Conduct audits and assist in tracking and reporting relevant information.
  8. Serve as a primary user for scheduling and communication systems.
  9. Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
  10. Ensure compliance with all responsibilities associated with the role.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Excel, and data entry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience: Minimum of one year in a similar role.

Compensation: Hourly rate based on relevant experience.
