Psychiatrist Opportunity in South Carolina

The WJB Dorn VA Medical Center is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Psychiatrist to provide outpatient care at our Community Based Outpatient Clinics. This role is vital in delivering quality mental health services to our Veterans.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive care to Veterans with significant psychiatric disorders.
- Utilize expertise in psychopharmacology to address co-morbidity issues prevalent in this population.
- Conduct psychosocial therapy, medication management, and group therapy sessions.
- Focus on supporting Veterans, especially those returning from combat and combat support roles.
The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with scheduling determined by management.
CompensationThe salary for this position can reach up to $240,000 annually.

QualificationsApplicants must meet the following criteria:
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen. Noncitizens may be considered if qualified citizens cannot be recruited.
- Licensure: Must hold a current, full, active, and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state or territory.
- Education: Must possess a degree in medicine or osteopathic medicine from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Physical Standards: Must be physically and mentally capable of performing the duties of the position.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
