Together, we are redefining how sustainable and affordable shelter is created for individuals worldwide. The NA Thermal portfolio is a crucial segment of the Shelter Solutions business, encompassing the StyrofoamTM extruded polystyrene (XPS), BetafuseTM structural adhesive, ThermaxTM and Tuff-R Polyisocyanurate (ISO) insulation, and ArmorWallTM Structural Insulated Sheathing product lines.

The NA Thermal Product Manager is tasked with overseeing the profitability and complete lifecycle of a multimillion-dollar product portfolio, managing operations across seven plants in the United States and Canada, along with several contract manufacturers. This role is essential for maintaining the vitality of the Thermal Portfolio to ultimately drive sustained growth and profitability.

This individual will report directly to the Shelter Solutions Global Product Director. However, success hinges on close collaboration with functional leaders across the organization to ensure alignment among commercial, technical, and operational functions.

The Product Manager is accountable for ensuring the long-term viability of the portfolio, positioning the business to achieve consistent top-line growth while meeting profitability targets. The value the Product Manager adds to the role is directly linked to how well-informed and aligned the team around them is. In essence, success in this position is closely tied to the leader's ability to influence.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with pricing, marketing, and supply chain teams to drive growth and mitigate market share loss. Focus on lead time management, pricing strategies, and product modifications.
  • Own product roadmaps, working with cross-functional partners to define and advance products for long-term success.
  • Understand manufacturing costs and identify improvement opportunities to enhance profitability.
  • Define key raw material strategies in collaboration with R&D, quality, and supply chain teams.
  • Drive the success of the new product development process, ensuring alignment across internal functions at each stage of the development cycle.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape, leveraging insights from various functions to improve competitive positioning.
  • Coordinate large-scale projects or complex supply situations when cross-functional collaboration is essential.

The Product Manager utilizes the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Process to maintain focus on the portfolio, developing the PMR to direct attention to key areas and actively participating in demand, supply, and integrated reconciliation steps.

Your Qualification Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant business experience in a similar role.
  • Strong business acumen with a proven track record of making agile and sound decisions.
  • Experience in cross-functional business roles.
  • Innovative and creative mindset with a forward-looking approach.
  • Diverse, multi-functional perspectives; experience across various businesses/functions is advantageous.
  • Political savvy to navigate ambiguity and drive business alignment.
  • Results-oriented with a history of setting clear priorities and achieving goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, adept at building and maintaining networks; effective in written, verbal, and presentation formats.
