Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer

The Principal Cloud Architect is an experienced expert with a minimum of 10 years in cloud technologies and infrastructure management, focusing on the design, deployment, monitoring, and recovery processes to ensure operational excellence. This role is particularly suited for candidates with a background in finance or cryptocurrency within the tech sector, showcasing a talent for leading technical challenges, promoting coding standards, ensuring thorough testing, and implementing scalable and secure software solutions in domains such as trading, compliance, fraud prevention, automation, and beyond.

Key Qualifications
- Experience in the fintech industry, with a solid understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and security protocols.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities within financial technology.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize tasks collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and other teams.
- Ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Residency in the Americas or Europe (between UTC-8 and UTC+3).
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud and infrastructure management, particularly in high-availability production environments using AWS or Azure.
- Extensive experience with container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficient in maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines and provisioning tools.
- Solid background in Linux system administration.
- Expertise in configuring, managing, and monitoring cloud infrastructure resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Strong skills in incident management and risk mitigation for scalable applications across distributed environments.
- Familiarity with Git and branching strategies for team collaboration.
- Hands-on experience in release management and architecture within cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- In-depth knowledge of network security, including traffic encryption, authentication protocols, firewalls, VPN configurations, and SSH tunnels.
- Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Python and Golang is highly regarded.
- A solid understanding of economic principles and finance, including swaps, escrows, scalping, staking, lending, as well as DeFi and Machine Learning applications for troubleshooting.
- Develop production-ready, testable, and well-documented code while addressing edge cases.
- Analyze team development methodologies, identify areas for improvement, and propose effective solutions.
- Maintain expertise in the team's domain, including services, interactions, and data flows.
- Utilize design patterns to create scalable applications, anticipating future needs.
- Conduct systematic debugging within the domain.
- Ensure that epics and projects are well-defined, prioritized, and comprehensible to the team.
- Facilitate clear communication with other teams, promoting effective and targeted dialogue.
- Encourage documentation and knowledge sharing within the team and with stakeholders.
