Seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Physician for a dynamic healthcare facility in San Antonio, TX.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a full-time Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) physician to enhance our dedicated team at Methodist Children's Hospital. Ideal candidates will be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Critical Care or Cardiology, with either additional fellowship training or substantial experience in CICU practice.

The Methodist Children's Heart Institute is committed to a collaborative, patient-focused model of care, supporting families throughout their treatment journey. Our program benefits from the resources of the Methodist Health System, which boasts the premier adult cardiac program in the region, and is part of a national pediatric congenital heart network.

About the CICU:

  • State-of-the-art, dedicated Pediatric Cardiac Care Unit with 12 beds, with plans for future expansion.
  • Strong collaboration with specialized Cardiology partners.
  • Focus on direct patient care in a clinical capacity.
  • Experienced Nurse Practitioner support available Monday through Friday, with plans to extend coverage to weekends.
  • Access to a full range of subspecialty services, including ECMO, CRRT, and TPE.
  • Administrative support from a dedicated Director, along with Clinical and Quality leads, an Educator, and a Patient Navigator.

Qualifications

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care.
