Role Summary
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within the unit during designated shifts. Collaborating with the management team, the CNC directs and evaluates nursing care, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
- Facilitate admission and discharge processes to enhance patient flow and care quality.
- Engage in continuous assessment of patient care services in collaboration with the management team.
- Foster a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork and improved patient outcomes.
- Implement nursing strategies to enhance staff engagement and patient satisfaction.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of nursing staff.
- Manage staff scheduling and ensure efficient labor utilization based on patient care needs.
- Oversee inventory control and supply management within the unit.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Current Registered Nurse license in Texas or a Compact State.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- PALS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU/CVICU or critical care nursing.
- A degree in nursing (Associate, Bachelor, or Diploma).
