Seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Physician for a prominent facility in San Antonio, TX

Key Responsibilities

We are in search of a full-time Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) physician to enhance our dedicated team at Methodist Children's Hospital. Ideal candidates will be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Critical Care or Cardiology, with either additional training or substantial experience in CICU settings.

The Methodist Children's Heart Institute emphasizes a collaborative, patient-focused methodology in care delivery, accompanying patients and their families throughout their treatment journey. Our program benefits from the support of the Methodist Health System, recognized as the leading adult cardiac program in the region, and is part of a national pediatric congenital heart network.

About the CICU:

  • Newly established, dedicated Pediatric Cardiac Care Unit with 12 beds, with plans for future expansion to 24
  • Strong collaboration with specialized Cardiology professionals
  • Clinical role prioritizing direct patient interaction
  • Experienced Nurse Practitioner support available Monday through Friday, with plans to extend coverage to weekends
  • Comprehensive hospital services, including ECMO, CRRT, and TPE
  • Support from an Administrative Director, Clinical and Quality leads, a dedicated Educator, and a Patient Navigator
