Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Specialist to join our team at Fladger Assoc. Inc. in Foster City, CA. This is a contract position with a duration of 12-18 months and a negotiable rate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day activities of our Trade organization within the Managed Markets Strategy & Operations (MSO) department, ensuring strict compliance with contract terms and SOX controls.
  • Evaluate daily orders received from direct customers against inventory data feeds to prevent contractually defined inventory limits from being exceeded.
  • Monitor internal metric reports to identify when direct customers are running low on inventory and proactively reach out to buyers to understand their stocking plans.
  • Engage with indirect customers, in cooperation with the sales team, to understand stocking issues in the field and communicate them appropriately to buyers and account management.
  • Review direct and indirect customer returns, applying the appropriate credit values according to our return policies.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party logistics service providers and data warehouse vendors to ensure seamless operations.
  • Cross-functionally support internal colleagues to work toward our business goals & objectives.
  • Follow our policies to maintain and improve our level of customer service to direct and indirect customers.
  • Act as a resource to colleagues within the Trade organization to support contracting strategy, analytics, and recommendations.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting, analytics, and documentation requests according to business need.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry experience preferred.
  • Able to multi-task, self-start, and dynamically prioritize ad-hoc deliverables versus day-to-day tasks with high attention to detail and a professional demeanor in a deadline-intensive environment.
  • Able to analyze data from multiple sources and communicate findings in a clear and organized manner.
  • Able to make decisions, influence peers, and solve problems while working collaboratively and respectfully in a team structure.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and productively communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Advanced in Excel) is required.
  • Working knowledge of contracts and regulations, advisories, methodologies, and standard operating procedures is preferred.
  • Industry knowledge of Pharmaceutical business standards and regulations is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle/SAP), Business Intelligence (OBIEE), Trade data platforms (Integrichain or Valuecentric), EDI data sets (852/867), and visualization tools (Tableau) is preferred.
