Job Overview

This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily operations and staff of the plasma collection center, ensuring optimal efficiency in plasma donations.

Key Responsibilities

1. In adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manage the daily activities of the center. Provide clear guidance and direction, conduct team meetings, and communicate performance expectations effectively. Engage in operational tasks as necessary and inform management of any employee or donor-related concerns.

2. Collaborate with Group Leaders to streamline donor flow within the center, reducing wait times and enhancing processing efficiency.

3. Ensure adequate staffing levels to support center operations based on size, structure, and donor traffic. Oversee time card reporting, attendance, and overtime utilization.

4. Conduct investigations into operational errors and propose recommendations for process enhancements.

5. Participate in performance evaluations with management, offering constructive feedback. Document coaching actions as required and assist in maintaining current employee training records and performance assessments.

6. Support the recruitment and selection process for center operational staff as needed.

7. Uphold and advocate for compliance with company policies and procedures.

8. Assist in the creation and execution of marketing strategies aimed at improving donor retention.

9. Ensure accurate documentation of donor information in the electronic management system as per SOPs.

10. Familiarize yourself with policies related to hyper immune programs at the center, if applicable.

11. Maintain a clean and efficient workspace, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and forms. Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. Conduct routine audits of internal procedures and documentation.

12. Safeguard the confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.

13. Be prepared to be cross-trained in various technical areas and functions to meet business needs.

14. Bilingual capabilities may be beneficial, depending on organizational requirements.

15. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and relevant experience preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one year of supervisory or leadership experience overseeing others is required.

Working Environment

This role involves regular interaction with internal stakeholders to achieve common goals. Decision-making will have a moderate impact on the immediate work unit. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with customers and monitor equipment operations.

Physical requirements include standing and walking for extended periods, reaching, bending, kneeling, and possessing a high level of manual dexterity. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be necessary. The work environment is fast-paced with frequent interruptions, and exposure to hazardous materials and bloodborne pathogens is possible. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in specific tasks or areas, and overtime may be necessary to meet operational demands.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base pay for this position ranges from $21.90 to $28.00 per hour, reflecting CSL's expectations at the time of posting. Individual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors.
