Healthcare Revenue Operations Manager

Role: Healthcare Revenue Operations Manager
Annual Compensation: $90,000 - $105,000
Position Summary:
The Healthcare Revenue Operations Manager will oversee the daily activities of the Central Business Office (CBO) at Sea Mar Community Health Centers. This role involves supervising all personnel within the business office, including any temporary or contracted billing and coding staff. The manager will be accountable for the CBO's performance in terms of revenue generation, reimbursement processes, and staff efficiency.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to identify and analyze claim denials and rejection issues, formulate action plans, and develop training materials to address these challenges. Additionally, they will create workflow or system configuration solutions to mitigate future occurrences. Proficiency in the Epic electronic health record and practice management system is essential, and becoming a subject matter expert in Epic PB resolute will be crucial for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and enhance the operational functions of the CBO.
- Supervise business office staff and ensure optimal productivity.
- Analyze and resolve claim denials and rejections.
- Develop training materials and action plans for staff.
- Collaborate strategically with payers and maintain professional relationships.
- Generate reports and analyze data to inform business decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Proficient understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in healthcare billing, accounting, or finance.
- At least three years of supervisory experience in a similar field.
- Current Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from AAPC is highly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheets and word processing.
- Experience with Epic PB Resolute is desirable.
- Fluency in English is required; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
