Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at Great Plains Tribal Leaders Health Board Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers while ensuring accurate and timely registration and eligibility services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide registration and eligibility services to patients, including gathering demographic and insurance information, verifying eligibility, and obtaining necessary documentation.
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments, maintain the clinic schedule, and ensure accurate and timely communication with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Use the patient schedule system to check-in scheduled and unscheduled visits, ensuring seamless and efficient patient flow.
  • Work collaboratively with Benefits Coordinators to establish patient eligibility for the Marketplace Sponsorship Program and complete necessary tracking forms.
  • Provide reports in accordance with established schedules and formats as requested.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in performance improvement teams and other committees as assigned, contributing to the development and implementation of process improvements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of administrative office support experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including database and office software systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements.
Working Conditions

This position is typically performed in a clinic setting, requiring normal safety precautions for infection control and environmental safety measures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
