Job Overview

Salary Range: $87,000 - $120,500

We are seeking a skilled Flight Test Engineer to join our team at DCS Corp, focusing on the F/A-18 and EA-18G Avionics Mission Systems/Communication Navigation Information (AVMS/CNI) Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare flight documentation for aircraft evaluations during the development and verification phases.
  • Conduct and deliver flight briefings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and communicate objectives for flight testing.
  • Design and present operational plans for live fire exercises.
  • Create detailed flight test profiles.
  • For modifications to test flight profiles, generate addendums for the Flight Test Plan and secure necessary approvals.
  • Manage flight test scheduling and provide reports on ordnance usage during evaluations.
  • Offer expert guidance on risk mitigation strategies related to test resource constraints.
  • Ensure that the hazard tracking system is updated in accordance with test outcomes.

Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitive nature of customer-related requirements.

Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance throughout their employment.

On-site training will be provided for aspiring Flight Test Engineers.

Experience with requirements traceability, safety issues, aircraft configuration, external configuration, and flight test profiles is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with F/A-18 and EA-18G Avionics Mission Systems, as well as Communication, Navigation, and Information Systems, is advantageous.
