Catering Sales Professional

As a Catering Sales Executive, you will be responsible for handling social and local corporate catering opportunities that exceed the parameters of the Group Sales teams within the Sales Office. This role requires a strong understanding of the market, including competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, and supply and demand.
Key Responsibilities- Manage sales efforts for the property, including local corporate and social catering
- Respond to incoming catering opportunities and identify, qualify, and solicit new business to achieve personal and property revenue goals
- Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated and complementary
- Develop and implement a catering sales plan addressing revenue, customers, and market
- Design and sell creative catered events
- Maximize revenue by up-selling packages and creative food and beverage
- Manage catering sales revenue and operation budgets, and provide forecasting reports
- Develop menus that drive sales
- Assist with selling, implementation, and follow-through of catering promotions
- Execute and support Marriott's Customer Service Standards and property's Brand Standards
- High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required
- Catering sales experience preferred
