Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced B2B Business Development Manager to join our team at FreshDirect. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers and reactivating inactive accounts in the NY, NJ, and CT regions.

Your primary objective will be to drive revenue growth and wallet share through strategic account management, pipeline development, and sales excellence. You will work closely with our cross-functional partners in analytics and marketing to identify key trends and opportunities for multi-channel marketing and sales approaches.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong track record of driving prospect revenue growth and wallet share, with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets. You will also need to be a self-motivated individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect, pipeline build, acquire, and maintain large new accounts
  • Reactivate high-valued accounts that are currently inactive
  • Identify high-value targets based on industry, title, location, etc.
  • Follow-up on warm leads captured for registered, non-buying prospects
  • Maintain an ongoing sales mindset for all prospects to identify opportunities and drive end-to-end activities to seize wallet share growth
Requirements
  • 5+ years of successful Business-to-Business (B2B) track record in the New York metropolitan area
  • Proven success in driving prospect revenue growth and wallet share
  • Food/office product sales experience is a plus
  • Self-motivated desire to drive towards success
  • History of meeting and exceeding achievable sales targets, outbound call, and outreach metrics
  • Strong verbal and written presentation, communication, follow-up, and closing skills
  • Ability to cope in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
