Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team at one of our residential communities in the Columbus, OH area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and upkeep of the community, supervising maintenance technicians, and overseeing resident service requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach maintenance technicians and/or grounds keepers
  • Make recommendations and oversee unit rehabilitation and capital improvement projects
  • Perform and oversee resident service requests
  • Ensure exceptional product readiness
  • Perform and oversee grounds maintenance
  • Maintenance inventory management
  • Maintenance budget and expense control
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance vendors and city inspections
  • Report to the Community Director
  • Apply and adhere to OSHA safety standards

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience with at least 1 year as a Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Tech
  • Excellent skills in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing, with at least 3 years of experience using these professionally
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively manage 1-2 maintenance techs
  • A great customer service attitude
  • Proven ability to effectively supervise vendors
  • Ability to successfully manage capital improvement projects
  • A valid, current driver's license
  • HVAC certification is preferred
  • Previous apartment maintenance experience is preferred

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with on-call hours scheduled on a rotating basis.
