Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Project Manager to lead high-level efforts directed at organizational effectiveness, alignment, equity, and change management.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of strong consulting/project management experience, analytical and problem-solving skills focused on large scale, highly visible projects with the ability to think strategically and align projects with business goals.

The successful candidate will direct strategic planning and evaluation implementation efforts across multiple partners to drive decision-making and policy development at the highest levels.

They will also manage leadership initiatives across the agency, in coordination with external partners and stakeholders as applicable.

Additionally, the candidate will provide strategic direction on a system of leadership that advances the agency's mission and develops current and future leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-level efforts directed at organizational effectiveness, alignment, equity, and change management
  • Direct strategic planning and evaluation implementation efforts across multiple partners
  • Manage leadership initiatives across the agency
  • Provide strategic direction on a system of leadership that advances the agency's mission

Requirements:

  • 3 years of strong consulting/project management experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills focused on large scale, highly visible projects
  • Ability to think strategically and align projects with business goals
  • Experience in leading complex projects across administrations and organizations
  • Complex problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
  • Building and overseeing effective workgroups and teams with a variety of stakeholders and perspectives
  • Facilitation of group discussions, public speaking, and presenting complex information to diverse audiences
  • Leading the development of detailed action plans
  • Strong human relations skills set with ability to inform, facilitate, negotiate with and broker agreements between individuals and groups

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced level analytical ability with extensive background in roles related in government
  • Knowledge of state government programs and their interrelationships and an understanding of human services policy and procedures, and of government functions and relations
  • Ability to work with executive leadership
  • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures
