The Mortgage Sales Support Specialist operates under the direct guidance of the Area Sales Leader, delivering essential administrative, marketing, and sales assistance to Mortgage Consultants (MC) and/or Branch or Sales Managers.
Consistent and reliable attendance is crucial for the effective execution of this role.Key Responsibilities:
Perform clerical tasks such as filing, typing, data entry, and other administrative duties as assigned. Support marketing initiatives by creating promotional materials, identifying potential customers, analyzing market trends, and preparing sales documentation. Respond to client inquiries on behalf of the MC regarding loan processes. Track loan progress and follow up on pending items.
Maintain communication with customers and vendors to ensure completeness of files. Order necessary documents such as credit reports, appraisals, and condo questionnaires. Collaborate with third-party vendors including appraisers and title companies. Accurately input loan application data into the system.
Conduct preliminary reviews of loan files based on established checklists, including loan and credit analysis to ensure readiness for underwriting submission. Complete setup instructions by reviewing borrower documentation such as pay stubs, credit reports, bank statements, and W2s for accuracy and compliance with underwriting standards. Perform follow-up tasks to ensure timely closing dates, including communication with title companies, insurance providers, branch closing departments, and customers, as well as post-closing follow-up as necessary. Adhere to industry regulations, requirements, and applicable state/federal laws relevant to this position's duties. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
These specifications serve as general guidelines based on the minimum qualifications required. To succeed in this role, an individual must effectively perform each essential duty. Individual capabilities may lead to some variations from these guidelines.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Prior experience in mortgage lending or a related field is advantageous.
Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail are essential. Familiarity with CANVA or similar platforms is preferred but not mandatory.
Exceptional communication and customer service skills are necessary.
The ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan origination software is expected.
Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and guidelines is beneficial.
