Key Responsibilities
- Gain a thorough understanding of intricate systems featuring laser paths, optics, mirrors, and beam splitters.
- Utilize energy detectors, beam analyzers, oscilloscopes, and autocollimators effectively.
- Inspect optical components for surface quality defects while applying fundamental optics principles.
- Provide technical assistance to engineers and scientists regarding standard components, devices, materials, products, processes, and equipment.
- Engage in testing, modifying, reworking, repairing, and assembling electronic, optical, or mechanical systems.
- Interpret and work from standard wiring and assembly diagrams, operational sheets, engineering specifications, and sketches.
- Design and test prototype assemblies and production units as required.
- Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards in compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure a seamless flow of information and materials.
Performance Metrics
- Adhere to production timelines.
- Maintain quality standards for finished products.
- Monitor raw material inventory levels.
- Achieve compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated decision-making and leadership capabilities.
- Experience in handling delicate components with ESD practices.
- Familiarity with soldering and wire bonding is advantageous.
- Proficient in the safe handling of chemicals.
- Skilled in various computer applications, including Access, Excel, and Labview.
- Experience with MRP systems is a plus.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination is essential.
