Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a skilled Engineering Services professional to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced microwave systems and services. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work closely with other engineers to identify and resolve deployment issues, develop and implement engineering processes, and ensure the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify the functionality of microwave systems and services.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, program management, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute test procedures, and report results to management and customers.
  • Coordinate with project leads to close project actions and issues.
  • Identify test risks and opportunities, and report to project leads.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, and report to project leads.
  • Resolve technical issues using a robust engineering process.
  • Hold an FAA Public Trust clearance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience, or a minimum of six years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • One year of experience installing radio and/or networking equipment in a field or lab environment.
  • Two years of experience with two of the following technical areas: Basic RF concepts, RF Microwave radios/hardware, and waveguide; Telco (Analog/T1) lines; Networking (Protocols, Routing, Subnetting, etc.).

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with internal and external customers.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Telecommunications background, including Central Office/Optical/TDM/IP Networks.
  • Experience with Telecommunication Test Equipment, including Central Office/Optical/TDM/IP.
  • Field work installation experience, including racked equipment installations and building and running network and RF cables.
  • Knowledge of FTI Software, Tools, and Operations.
  • RF Path Modeling knowledge, including the use of RF modeling tools, such as LanPlanner, or ICS Telecom.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
