Job Summary

As an Optical Specialist at EssilorLuxottica, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as an ambassador of the Sunglass Hut brand, providing expert advice on eyewear and lenses to customers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Welcome and engage with customers, setting clear expectations and providing personalized service.
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, ensuring accurate and precise results.
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen, staying up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies.
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
  • Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Utilize technology effectively, managing time pressure and customer volume while maintaining exceptional product knowledge and using appropriate tools.
  • Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded, driving solutions.
  • Multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities, striving to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
  • Take pride in store appearance, helping to maintain a clean, attractive, and organized environment.
  • Be resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to continual learning, improvement, and results, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • State licensure in Opticianry.
  • Optical dispensing experience.
  • Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Awareness of current fashion trends.
  • Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
  • Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
  • Embracing new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous customer service and retail experience.
