Job Title: Food and Beverage Team Leader

Job Summary:

The Food and Beverage Team Leader directs and oversees all aspects of the property's food and beverage planning and service, with duties to include menu planning and costs, preparation and presentation of food and drinks, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Promote a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
  • Engage and create a positive experience for guests.
  • Direct and oversee the entire restaurant operation.
  • Develop and monitor the operating budget for each of the department's revenue outlets and take corrective action as necessary to help assure that budget goals are attained.
  • Design and update restaurant menu and manage the marketing of new products and specials.
  • Ensure that effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development are planned and implemented.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages as needed.
  • Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences.
  • Supervise all restaurant positions, including scheduling, developing, and coaching employees.
  • Participate in the selection, design, development of new POS system.
  • Review financial transactions such as the budget and payroll records to ensure the weekly expenditures are accounted for and authorized.
  • Maintain a friendly attitude, attending all guests in an efficient and prompt manner.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions.
  • Provide guests with information about facilities, attractions, and activities in or outside the property.
  • Project a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.
  • Handle guest complaints and solve problems to the degree possible.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of restaurant management experience required, hospitality industry preferred.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members.
  • Knowledge of reservation and POS systems.
  • Ability to work with computers and good knowledge of operating software preferred.
  • Must be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
  • Must be a team player.
