We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, preparation, and production of all culinary operations in our hotel.
Key Responsibilities- Culinary Operations: Direct and oversee all culinary operations, including the production of all hotel meals, food quality and presentation, compliance with safety and sanitation standards, team member productivity and performance, and cost controls.
- Menu Development: Create and implement new menus and individual menu items for outlets based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with the Director of Food and Beverage.
- Guest Interaction: Interact with guests and clients to monitor and assess satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues, and make improvements accordingly.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards.
- Team Management: Perform general management duties, including systems management, budget and forecasting, report generation, department management, meeting participation, and facilitation.
- Team Development: Monitor and develop team member performance, including providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and rewards.
- Recruitment and Training: Recruit, interview, and train team members.
- Experience: Prior Executive Chef experience in a Forbes 5-Star hotel or equivalent operation.
- Leadership: Significant experience managing a unionized or organized workforce.
- Qualifications: No less than 5 years of work experience at the Executive Chef level.
We offer a competitive annual salary range of $200,000 - $230,000, based on applicable and specialized experience. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
