Position Overview

The Guest Services Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for our guests. This position involves a range of responsibilities focused on delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining the operational efficiency of the front desk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and register guests, assigning them to their accommodations.
  • Provide room keys and relevant information to guests and coordinate with bell staff as needed.
  • Manage incoming mail and messages, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Handle telephone communications, relaying messages and inquiries efficiently.
  • Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, local attractions, and travel information.
  • Maintain accurate records of room availability and guest accounts.
  • Process guest payments, including billing and transactions.
  • Facilitate reservations for dining, transportation, and entertainment options.
  • Assist guests with securing their valuables in the hotel safe.
  • Conduct nightly audits to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Actively listen to guest concerns and provide effective solutions.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Proficiency in handling basic administrative tasks and technology.
