Position Overview
The Guest Services Representative plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our guests. This position involves managing the check-in and check-out processes while ensuring a seamless experience for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and register guests, assigning them to their respective accommodations.
- Provide room keys and detailed instructions to the Bellhop.
- Organize and distribute incoming mail and messages.
- Handle telephone communications, relaying messages as necessary.
- Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel amenities, local attractions, and travel arrangements.
- Maintain accurate records of room availability and guest accounts.
- Process payments, compute bills, and manage financial transactions.
- Assist in making and confirming reservations for dining, transportation, and entertainment.
- Support guests in securing their valuables in the hotel safe.
- Conduct nightly audits and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Listen attentively to guest concerns and work towards effective solutions.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to present information clearly in individual and small group settings.
